The 9" - 10" ears of Heilroom Reid's Yellow Dent Corn have 16 to 20 rows of tightly packed long deep kernels that are yellow with a tinge of red. Heirloom Reid's Yellow Dent Corn has tall leafy stalks that are good for making silage. Heirloom Reid's Yellow Dent Corn has a long shelf life so it is a terrific storage crop. This is a multi purpose corn variety that is most commonly used for cornmeal and animal feed. Pick Heirloom Reid's Yellow Dent Corn young in it's milk stage it can be roasted or used as you would any sweet corn. Approximately 100 Days until harvest.
