Hill Country Red Okra Seeds.  Heirloom Hill Country Red Okra is said to be named after the Southern Texas area around Austin that is known for it's red hills.  The pods of Heirloom Hill Country Red Okra are heavily ribbed and have a somewhat chubby appearance.  The pods start out mostly light green and darken up with burgundy as they mature.  Hill Country Red okra is larger in diameter than the average okra, usually measuring 2" - 2 1/2" in diameter and 3 1/2" - 5" long.  They cook up tender and tasty.  The beautiful blossoms of Hill Country Red Okra attract butterflies and pollinating bees.  Hill Country Red Okra grows around 5 foot tall and is a good producer even in our poor Ozark unimproved soil.  When we grow it in improved fertilized soil it grows taller.  62 Days until harvest.  Packet contains approximately 30 Heirloom Hill Country Red Okra Seeds grown naturally with love and care.  Happy Planting!  We have a wide variety of Heirloom Vegetable, Herb, and Flower Seeds for sale.
