This native american indian corn was grown by the Hopi and was an important part of their diet, ceromonies, and culture. The kernels of Heirloom Hopi Blue Corn are dark blue making a beautiful blue cornmeal when ground. Besides being beautiful blue corn has 20 % more protein then white corn with a lower glycemic index, making it useful in a diabetic diet. You can grow Heirloom Hopi Blue Corn to make your own blue corn chips or incredible corn muffin with great, smooth texture.
