Eagle Pass Okra Seeds.  Heirloom Eagle Pass Okra is named after the area around Eagle Pass, Texas.  The pods are heavily ribbed and range in color from green to green with burgundy highlight to mostly burgundy.  This variance can show up all on one plant.  Eagle Pass okra is larger in diameter than the average okra.  The pods are have a lower mucilage content, which makes them less slimy when boiled.  Eagle Pass Okra usually measure 2" - 2 1/2" in diameter and 3 1/2" - 5" long.  They cook up tender and tasty.  The beautiful blossoms of Eagle Pass Okra will liven up your garden and attract butterflies.  Eagle Pass Okra grows around 4 foot tall and is a heavy producer in our poor ozark unimproved soil.  When we grow it in improved fertilized soil it grows taller.  Approximately 55 Days until harvest.  Packet contains approximately 30 seeds grown naturally with love and care.  Happy Planting!  We have a wide variety of Heirloom Vegetable, Herb, and Flower Seeds for sale.
