Walla Walla Onion Seeds.  Heirloom Walla Walla Onion was first introduced to American Seed Catalogs in the late 1800's and is famously grown in Walla Walla, Washington.  Walla Walla Onion has large, slightly flattened, globe shaped onion has succulent, sweet white flesh.  Walla Walla is a long day type that has thin golden skin.  The sweetness and thin, tender skin make Walla Walla Onion a fresh eating favorite but it also makes for a short shelf life after harvest.  Walla Walla Onion is best if used within one month after harvest.  We leave our Walla Walla Onions in the ground until we are ready to use them.  This is an over wintering type of onion.  If you live in cooler Northern climates you should sow in fall or early spring.  Walla Walla Onion can be grown as a winter crop in the south.  Harvest Walla Walla Onion at desired size.  125 days until harvest.  Growth rate and days until harvest for Walla Walla Onion depends largely on climate factors.  Packet contains approximately 300 seeds grown naturally with love and care.  Happy Planting!  We have a wide variety of Heirloom Vegetable, Herb, and Flower Seeds for sale.
