Vermont Appaloosa Bean Seeds


Vermont Appaloosa Bean Seeds.  This heirloom is named after it's markings that resemble the markings on an Appaloosa Horse.  It is white with markings in 3 variants of color.  Vermont Appaloosa Bean is a shiny white with deep purple brown, golden and tan.  Vermont Apaloosa Bean is a dry shell variety that can also be used as a snap bean when picked early.  To use Vermont Appaloosa Bean as a snap bean pick when the pods start to plump, as you would any snap bean.  The shelled dry beans are on the small size, similar to navy bean.  The strong, bush type plants of the Vermont Appaloosa Bean produce 5" long, flat oval pods that contain 4 - 6 beans.  For dry beans, pods are ready to pick when they are mature and dried down.  Green snap beans in about 55 days.  85 days until full maturity.  Packet contains approximately 50 seeds grown naturally with love and care.  Happy Planting!  We have a wide variety of Heirloom Vegetable, Herb, and Flower Seeds for sale.
