Copenhagen Market Cabbage Seeds. Heirloom Copenhagen Market Cabbage originated in Denmark but was introduced to America by Hartman & Company seed catalog in 1909. This early market variety that is tolerant to heat. Heirloom Copenhagen Market Cabbage produces uniformed round heads that reach 6" - 8". These heirloom cabbage heads weigh 3 to 4 lbs. Copenhagen Market Cabbage have compact, tightly wrapped heads making them a good choice for the small gardener.  Being tightly wrapped means they take up less space and more cabbage can be grown in a small space.  This cabbage can also be grown in a wide range of climates and is split resistant.
